A joint venture between Turner Construction and Consigli Construction Co., Inc. has been selected to provide construction services for The Kenneth C. Griffin Pavilion, a major new cancer care facility planned for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s main campus in Manhattan.

The new pavilion is designed to help Memorial Sloan Kettering expand its healthcare capacity while continuing to provide uninterrupted care to patients during construction. Once completed, the facility will support the treatment of more patients and allow the hospital to manage increasingly complex medical cases.
Plans for the building include 12 state-of-the-art operating suites and 208 private inpatient rooms dedicated to patient care. The project is intended to strengthen the hospital’s ability to meet growing demand for specialized cancer treatment services in New York City and beyond.
Project leaders say the facility will combine advanced medical technology, modern design, and a strong focus on patient experience. Construction teams will work closely with hospital staff to minimize disruptions and maintain normal operations throughout the building process.
The project is also expected to involve ongoing coordination with community members and local government agencies to help ensure safety and reduce impacts on the surrounding neighborhood.
Construction of The Kenneth C. Griffin Pavilion is expected to continue through 2030, marking a significant investment in the future of cancer care and healthcare infrastructure in Manhattan.
